The Big Bad Armo Show is a variety show that has produced three shows so far. Two in 2009, one in 2011. The usually sold-out performances take place at Casitas in Atwater Village (Los Angeles) and are most popular with young Armenians. Coarser language and subject matter may make it inappropriate for minors.

The Genesis of the Big Bad Armos

Three years ago I took a job working as a journalist for the Armenian Reporter. During my time there, I encountered a vast array of stories ranging from the incredibly somber, to the fantastically ludicrous. Really, it was during that time that The Big Bad Armo Show was born. I wanted to take both the serious and the comical stories I came across and create a space that would license Armenians to laugh at themselves and each other. My intent was to hold up a fun house mirror to this community and share some of the hilarious idiosyncrasies of our stories with audiences.

With the success of The Big Bad Armo Show and the weapon of an amazingly talented cast, it was only fitting that we prepare a Christmas Show. After all, if anybody knows how to celebrate Christmas, it's the Armenians. We've been doing it since 301 A.D.
