Very rare in the former Soviet Union.

Habitat in Armenia

Met in the neighborhood of Lake Gilli.

Habitat and ecology

Grows in pools and dry meadows.

Biology and potential value

Very rare species which has unique shape of leaves. Has huge scientific value.

Measures of protection

Search for the new populations should be conducted, especially around Lake Sevan. Should be included in the Botanical Park of Yerevan. Included in the Red Book of the former Soviet Union.
