Status

Very rare species. Only one population known in Armenia, which has almost disappeared due to intensive spread of industrial units in Armavir.

Habitat in Armenia

Grows in the floristic region of Yerevan.

Habitat and ecology

Grows on dry rocky hills.

Biology and potential value

High decorative plant. Has huge scientific value.

Measures of protection

Search for the new populations should be conducted. Newly found ones should be protected and included in the Botanical Park of Yerevan. Included in the Red Book of the former Soviet Union.
