The natural habitat is rapidly decreasing. Cut because of high quality wood.

Habitat in Armenia

Met in the floristic regions of Lori and Ijevan.

Habitat and ecology

Met on the northern hills 1600 – 2000 meters above sea level. Met single or in groups.

Biology and potential value

Bear fruit once every 3 - 5 years. Natural reproduction is not satisfactory. Has high quality wood. Decorative plant.

Measures of protection

Illegal cut should be forbidden. Condition for reproduction should be developed.
